Back in 2015, Place Partners (Place Score’s sister company) ran a survey across Australia to understand if and how local governments were engaging with placemaking and its associated processes.
In 2019, we shifted the dial slightly to understand place measurement more specifically and open it up to all organisations involved in making and managing places – to know what data is being collected, how is it being used and what impact is it having.
We spoke to 104 individuals from 82 different organisations and Place Score has shared some of the key findings in this report. In this report, we explore the challenges and benefits of place measurement, the place measurement priorities for the future and a few tips for place measurers.
