In August 2021, Place Score released its inaugural 2021 State of Place report. It showcased the results 2021 Australian Liveability census, Australia’s largest research project of Australia which had the voices of over 30,000 people.
The 2021 State of Place report revealed that Melburnians scored their city 73/100, 5 points above the national. It also highlighted how the values (of what matters most) are different for every demographic group. For example, the under 25-year-olds prioritise personal safety while the over 65s prioritise neighbourhood safety.
