Place Score 2024 Port Stephens Liveability Survey Competition
- The terms and conditions of this competition are governed by New South Wales law.
- The Promoter is Place Score Pty Limited of Suite 6, Level 1, 2-12 Foveaux Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, ABN 19 610 823 286.
- The Competition commences 21 October 2024 and final entries close and must be received by 11:59pm AEST on 1 December 2024 (“Competition Period”).
WHO CAN ENTER AND HOW
- To be eligible to enter:
- Entrants must entirely complete the survey at placescore.org/portstephens;
- Answer at least one of the questions, “In 25 words or less, what is your BIG idea to make [your suburb] more liveable or enjoyable for you?” and “In 25 words or less, what is your SMALL idea to make [your suburb] more liveable or enjoyable for you?” during the Competition Period;;
- Entry is only open to people at least 15 years old;
- Only one entry is permitted per person.
- An entry is deemed to be received at the time of its receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission by the entrant.
- Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, Port Stephens Council, Woolworths Group, JB Hi-Fi, Prezzee and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
HOW WINNERS ARE DETERMINED AND NOTIFIED
- Winners will be selected by the Promoter by 20 December 2024 at the office of the Promoter.
- Winners will be randomly selected.
- The Promoter will notify winners by email by 20 December 2024 (“Winner Notification Date”).
- The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
PRIZES
- The winning entries will win one of ten $100 Woolworths Essentials, JB Hi-FI or Prezzee Fuel vouchers. Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming a prize are not included.
- Winners will be notified by email. If for any reason the prize winner does not claim their prize or an element of their prize by 12 January 2025, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited by the prize winner.
- If a prize is not accepted or claimed by the stipulated date, the relevant winner’s entry will be deemed invalid and the Promoter reserves the right to distribute the unclaimed prize to the next best ranking entry or entries (as applicable), as determined by the Promoter at its office in its absolute discretion, by 5pm on 9 February 2025. Winners of unclaimed prizes will be notified in writing.
- If a prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with an alternative prize to the equal value and/or specification.
GENERAL TERMS (boring but important)
- Information on how to enter and prizes forms part of these conditions of entry. Submission of an entry is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
- The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these conditions of entry, who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, deems to be offensive, inappropriate, defamatory or otherwise not in keeping with the spirit of the competition.
- Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
- Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.
- Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. Any incorrect entrant details submitted may render the corresponding entry invalid. It is each entrant’s responsibility to inform the Promoter if their personal details change prior to the Winner Notification Date.
- Each work submitted as part of an entry (“Work”) becomes the property of the Promoter. As a condition of entry, each entrant irrevocably grants to the Promoter a non-exclusive perpetual worldwide licence to use and exploit all intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copyright) in and to the Work and consents to the Promoter doing (or omitting to do) any acts in respect of the Work which may otherwise constitute an infringement of an entrant’s moral rights. For the avoidance of doubt, the Promoter may use all or part of an entrant’s Work(s) for promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, whether in respect of the competition, the Promoter or otherwise. Each entrant warrants to the Promoter that the Work submitted is an original work of the entrant which does not infringe any rights of any third party. A breach of the warranty set out in this condition will result in the entrant’s entry being invalid. In addition, each entrant indemnifies the Promoter against all loss, damages and costs incurred by the Promoter arising from that entrant’s breach of the warranty set out in this condition.
- If for any reason whatsoever beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the competition is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, unless to do so would be prohibited by law, to (a) disqualify any entrant; and/or (b) to cancel, suspend, modify, terminate or cancel the promotion.
- Unless otherwise stipulated, no prize is transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
- The Promoter, its associated agencies and companies and the agencies associated with this Competition will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special, or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained in (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this Competition or accepting or using a prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
- As a condition of entry, each participant agrees to the Promoter using the entrant’s first name and entry in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this Competition (including any outcome).
- The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this Competition is further governed by the Promoter’s Privacy Policy which can be accessed at placescore.org/privacy. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the competition and provide any goods/services requested and may, for that purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers or a regulatory authority and for any purpose to which the entrant has previously consented.
- By entering the Competition, the entrant agrees, that without limitation:
- the entrant is responsible for the content of their entry and for ensuring that the entry complies with these Terms and Conditions;
- the content submitted is their own;
- they will not submit material that is unlawful or fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, that is in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- they have complied with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and access to or use of others’ computers or computer systems.
